BridgeSense Contract Extended

Mobility Sensing and the National Road Traffic Data Bank (NDW) have renewed their successful partnership with an extended contract for the provision of real-time data on the opening and closing of 150 bridges in the Netherlands. This project, powered by BridgeSense IoT sensors, helps improve traffic flow and minimising delays caused by bridge openings.

Since the project’s inception, Mobility Sensing has deployed advanced IoT sensors on more than 300 bridges nationwide. These sensors accurately detect when a bridge is open or closed and transmit these data in real-time to NDW. The data are then made available to providers of navigation, traffic information and logistics planning services, helping road users choose more efficient routes.

With this contract extension, Mobility Sensing continues to play a key role in digitisation of the Netherlands’ traffic infrastructure and in improving convenience for road users and logistics operators alike.
