All main waterways in South Holland monitored by BoatSense

BoatSense is specially designed to count and measure all passing vessels on a waterway. It provides a complete picture of traffic on a canal or river, including information about vessel length, speed and heading, and signals any change in situation on the waterway. The live and historical data is clearly presented in a secure web dashboard in the form of lists, graphs and maps. Live data is delivered via a real-time data feed and used to optimize bridge and lock operations and policy analysis.

BoatSense has been operational on the Gouwe and Oude Rijn since 2018 and has recently also been rolled out along the Rhine-Schie Canal. BoatSense now covers all main waterways in the Province of South Holland and provides a complete picture of all sailing movements.
